My main education is in Engineering, I also like Math, Physics, Philosophy and the sciences in general. I have been working with computers since I was a teenager and I very much like to share my experience and knowledge with others.

Short Biography
Wilson has 30+ years of experience in the Computer Science field. For 25 years he is teaching CS classes, mainly programming in Java and other OO languages. He is excited to share his knowledge with the students an help them to master Java programming.

My education and professional experience
I am a Civil Engineer but never really worked in the field. My first job was at a small office mainly preparing data for computer processing. At this time I began to develop small engineering programs at the office. I have always worked in the CS field, mainly as a programmer. I have experience with engineering, commercial and embedded systems. For almost 25 years I have been teaching various CS classes at Federal University of Technology - Parana, Brazil. Since 2010 I am responsible for the computer, network and software infrastructure at the University. My knowledge includes C, C++, Java and other programming languages, computer hardware, operating systems, databases, cloud computing, among others.

Why I am teaching this course
During my professional career I have learned many programming languages. In the last few years I have been working mostly with the Java language for desktop and Web development. Java is a powerful and elegant general purpose programming language and is also the base for many related technologies. Being the most used language nowadays I believe that every serious programmer should know it. I am excited to share my professional experience an help people to grasp the full potential of these technologies.
